How much does a standard Battery usually cost from the stealers?

Mine's been crap for ages now, it seems like its never holding the charge, and getting worse!

Had the same problem as you a couple of months ago. See this thread (http://type-r-owners.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8960).

I *think* Honda wanted about £40 for a new one but I can't remember exactly.

£40 ? That aint bad from the stealers at ll. Bloody battery for my C2 was more than that!

Yes mate. Bought a new one and then fitted it ourselves. Job done. :)
