Ok so I have put my standard CD player back in for the time being...

I have connected it all up and the red Anti theft light is flashing and when I press the eject button the green light flashes, However I am getting no display on the screen to input the code to get the bugger working :(

Any ideas?

It is only the one plug in the back of it isn't there? (Blue one)

cheers

Have you looked in the manual?

Yes. It should say on the display screen 'code'

Wonder if there is a blow fuse, I believe there are 2 for the H/U?

It's fooked. Get another on.

Only Joking  If you connected it right then you've got no option but to visit Mr Honda.

If the fuse was knackered then there'd be no lights on the headunit.

Thats why I think there is 2,

1 for the permenent supply and the other from the ignition.

Does the word 'code' appear when you turn on the power?

Should do,

i.e When you actually turn on the Headunit after connecting the supply.

Should do,

i.e When you actually turn on the Headunit after connecting the supply.

I mean like this...

Dynax says:
I think as you press it, it says 'C....O....D....E''
Dynax says:
like..
Dynax says:
you press power
Dynax says:
and it says nothing
Dynax says:
If you press the first number correctly (e.g. 2)
Dynax says:
it'll display the ''C''
Dynax says:
If you press the second number correctly, (e.g. 6) it'll say ''O''
Dynax says:
And it spells code if you do it right

I can't remember it doing that :-k
I know its a little strange in you have to enter the code twice IIRC, but it was exactly as detailed in the Manual.

No it doesn't do that. Had to replace the battery a few months back and also disconnected it for a month while we were away. Both times when the battery was reconnected the word CODE came up straight away on the display. I then entered the code once and the HU came on.

Still no joy here

I got it off a forum member.. Do you reckon I could take it to Honda and try the warranty thing?

Fuses? Someone said two? Is there one on the head unit itself? Although I dont think this is the problem as I can hear the eject mechanism etc working.

Worth a shot with the warranty mate, but as your car is modified otherwise they may suspect something

the headunit from my first CTR used to spell C...O...D...E when you typed in the 4 digits.

Bizarre. Mine definitely doesn't do this - as I said I've had the battery disconnected twice recently and it definitely comes up with the full word CODE before you put any numbers in. :?:
