New head unit

Guys
just about to get my type R in next week or so...and Im going to need to upgrade the head unit..

I made my mind up on the new Alpine 9850Ri and was going to buy an ipod to go with it (dont really want and ipod)
But then I see these kenwoods (5534U, 5534UA and 6534U) with the USB stick then with a hard disk.
So now Im confused cant find a review about them but I guess Kenwood stuff is pretty good.
But it does seem cheap (without the hard disk) does this reflect in the quality...
So I guess i need some advice on where to go on this.Im not going to be adding amps but might add a boot sub box with an amp all in one.
Any help be gratefully recieved....

I've got the kenwood KDC-w7031 which is the same sort of price, and I think is much better because it looks nicer, has a g-force meter, and this other thing where you see a car on the headunit and when you turn a corner the car turns with you; like computer game style... that's priceless! ;)

Fly - Did you buy one of those Kenwoods after? Any pics?

Im in the exact same position as you as I would like the USB interface but not the Ipod like the Alpine units.
