I must admit, I didn't realise it was 13 years since I bought my Type R! God I feel old right now! But I must also admit, my judgement of car prices doesn't take into account inflation. I suppose I've been buying cheap cars since.

Yeah thought so. Mine was 6 months old so I paid £14k. I just don't see it as a £30k car.

Did I see this right, that the price is close to £30k! Wasn't the originals more like £16k?

I've had a dig round on the interweb and it's got the 3 AUX input like a TV has. So does this mean I can get videos and stuff to play from my iPhone onto the screen?

Yup it's the Vectra....... eventually up for auction. It's got a fancy Kenwood stereo fitted with satnav and flipout screen though

I'm bidding on an ex company car at work. They usually go quite cheap and you can get a bargain. Anyway, this one has got a fancy Kenwood DVD player in it with a flip out screen. The car is an 04 and I think it's been in from new. Obviously there'll be some kind of AUX in so I can link up...

Yeah, but don't want to go too old. I had an 02, so I'd like to go a little newer. Plus, the GF wants something newish, and she'll be driving the car more than me I reckon. She's got a longer drive to work, and I don't want her breaking down in the banger she's got at the min.

My dealers snatched my hand off for mine a couple of months ago. Bought it from them for £14k (6 months old), and I think they took it back off me for £9k. Thats £5k loss over the 3.5 years I had the car. Not bad. Don't buy brand new anymore.
