    FK2 FK2 general discussion

It'll be years before I can spend anywhere near £30k+ on a car, and even then if I ever could afford it, I don't think I could part with that kind of money.

It's growing on me too. Wish I had that sort of money, if I ever do get one I'll wait a few years for a used one. Wonder if black will still be the faster colour ;)

It does look a lot like the FN2, - that has torsion beam too.

Problem with alarm / power / car not starting

Is there anyway to disconnect the alarm altogether?

Looks nice, not sure about the rear torsion beam suspension, and guessing its going to be well out of my affordability. Think the matt black looks good too.

Problem with alarm / power / car not starting

Well an alarm specialist came out yesterday. He managed to get the car running, he said the key was ok and the battery was low on power. But couldn't re-programme a new fob to deactivate the alarm. Just to add the car battery is new, it was installed a couple of weeks ago but the car couldn't...

Problem with alarm / power / car not starting

Good idea, but unfortunately I don't know anyone with a Type R One of my mates has a standard 1.6 civic, same shape, but his ecu would be different wouldn't it?

Problem with alarm / power / car not starting

Thanks mate, If I did remove the battery, whilst towing the car, Would that mean the car wouldn't be able to be steered? With no power steering? Also when I press the key lock button on the fob, it lights up, the other unlock button is unresponsive though, and it doesn't seem to do anything...

That can probably be arranged, but the thing is, the alarm keeps going off once I'm in the car. Do you know if there is anyway to silence the alarm whilst I'm being towed?

Problem with alarm / power / car not starting

Just an update, I've been ringing around places and they said to contact Honda. I've rang them and they said they think the key might need re-programming to the cars immobiliser? But it'd cost around £51+vat to do that, and if it's not that that's the problem then they said they're bit sure what...

Problem with alarm / power / car not starting

I'm a bit stuck with this one, and just wondering if anyone on here can help. What happened was, kids dropped my car keys and alarm fob into the sink. And the water got inside the fob due to it being cracked already. Anyhow, I opened it to dry it out. A day or two after, I went out to the car...

    Rear washer jet

That's how I sorted mine too. Look for breakers on the forum or fleabay too. You may even find one in a scrap yard local to you. It doesn't have to be off a Type R though, they fit off the other civics too.

Yeah found a few on there with them PIN numbers on, it's just the ampage what's confused me, as its not mentioned in the video.

Just a quick one, I've been looking for the relay switch to do this, but not sure what ampage I'd need? I've seen them on fleabay for 30amp, 40amp etc?
