You sure its not water ingress in one of the spark plugs or a dodgy fuel pump?

Have you considered upgrading the tyre size to 255/35/20? works out cheaper and wont have to worry about pot holes as much.

I have had both the CTR and the DC5 which i still own :cool: I think both cars are excellent but the DC5 has more of the wow factor not to mention other standard bits like the recaros, red interior and HID's etc. Anyway heres a pic of my DC5 as it is :cool:

With KPRO i have noticed that the car picks up much better and more grunt in mid range. In terms of fuel i havent noticed it using more fuel so its a win win situation really:cool: I finally got all the bits i wanted over the course of the year to get the car the way i wanted it to look:cool::cool:

They same reason why i ended up selling my AEM on my old CTR. I drove throught a big puddle and the car seemed to slug a little, not sure whether it was just me but i certainly didnt like that feeling. Replaced it with a Gruppe M Straight after that incident!

I had this problem when i went to install the HID's in my 02 CTR. Was a pain in the ass, never knew what caused the problem. One light would go when it felt like it and then come back in full working order for a few years. I sold the car in the end for a DC5 with standard HID's :D

I take it this install never finished lol Just jokin

Im buying a white one from them which is due to arrive in Jan :twisted: :twisted: I personally dont like black DC5 but i have never seen one only in pics. However, i can say that a white DC5 looks 8)

I ended up buying a tool which gets them off within minutes. Saw it used in the garage so i when out and ordered a pair :twisted: Wont be spending ages on getting it off next time 8)

They are a nightmare to get off thou, i fitted some onto my twin loop replica but the damm thing was still knocking on the roll bar. Couldnt get it off after 30 mins so out come the hacksaw :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Was going to go for the AEM CAI but i know i wud be forever thinking about water getting in :shock: So i might just up the cash for the Gruppe M. Didnt u use the supplied scuttle?

I can get a 2nd hand one thats been used for a week with modified scuttle panel for £430 ;) Still deciding on this or the AEM or a 2nd hand Maxogen for £200. Will be the last mod for the CTR, only buying this to get the best out of the hondata ecu re-flash :twisted:

I know yours is for sale but for £300 delivered i would still have to pay extra for £50 for air scoop and extra £50 for scuttle. I have been offered £450 for Gruppe M with modified scuttle, so you can see where im coming from. If your prepared to lower your price i may be interested...

Guys, having done some research i believe that the best induction and in some terms the safest for the CTR is the Gruppe M ? However, how much should i be looking to buy one of these for 2nd hand, inital figures suggest £350 ? Also, do the require regular maintenance to upkeep its value? As...

I have the opportunity to buy either the Hondata or the Sumo power ECU off a fellow member but unsure which one to go for. Graphs show that the Sumo one provides better output and apparently there are only 2 of these ECU. But im thinking the Hondata EC wud be easier to sell on?

Havent done anything yet as i still havent received it! So would i need to drive to honda, swap my ECUs around and ask them to re-code it? Also, when i swpa them around is there any basic precautions i need to know about?

So is £400 for a ECU with hondata re-flash worth it? I can keep my ECU then?

I see so hondata cant be re-flashed, K100 can be but requires a dealer and KPRO can be done by user?

So what is different from the K100 and ECu re-flash? I know that the KPRO is tunable via a laptop.

I was just going to ask, dont they cost £468 new from CPL? Is there any difference in the K100 and the Hondata?

Guys, do you think its worth me investing £400 on a hondata ECU for my CTR with a catback spoon exhaust system? I dont have anymore plans to mod it so would i gain much with just a catback exhaust system?
