hi buddy just had this problem use autoglym tar and glue remover and do a test patch just in case it takes colour out of the cloth. spray on shoul loosen it use a little pick/rough sponge then hoover it then wet and dry seat to remove all of the tar and glue

As far as I'm aware I think it said that the mark your on about is e mark? Which I think is the legal limits to lights etc. Also it says that they will pass mot headlight washers I have heard this before but don't of my customers cars I clean like 60k upwards and not seen some cars with them!?

Well not really seen heatmarks on a chain but play in the chain yes if it's really loose you will hear a rattle sort of sound when revs die down
