The Clubsport S has more HP. On paper it does not, but on the dyno they do around 330 to 340. CTR's do max 300 if you are very lucky, most are doing between 285 en 295.

You should not hold it! Only 2 quick presses. If they don't fold, then it's an option on the GT I quess.

Press the button on the door twice in a row when you lock it, mirrors will fold in. Start/stop is no problem, in start/stop mode the oil/cooling keeps circulating compared to a full shutdown so it's not bad for the turbo. Though I'm always turning it off when I get in the car. :)

Normal conditions for the FK2 are between 80/90, that's where it sits during normal driving. It can easily hit 100/110 ones you go on the throttle, even higher when you give it the beans really good.

60 to trash? Ain't 80 the recommended temp before you trash it? 60 seems very cold.

My Type R performed flawless in the 38°C it was last Wednesday.

Define hard, the RS is slower yes, but just by a notch as you can see here, they are very close. On track it really comes down to who is the better driver if you would go with a Type R against a RS. My mate has done a fair amount of track days with the Type R and came across the new MK3 RS...

Jep, RS is faster from 0, but after that the Type R gains up. The 0-200km/h and 100-200km/h times from the Type R are just a tad quicker than the RS, so yes, when rolling the lighter and more aggressive Type R wins. :)

My bonnet is covered in chips and the rear arches also. Rear arches go very fast, if I plan on driving this car the next 2.5 years there will be no paint left I reckon.

That freakin knob gets extremely hot! Man, I burned myself when I got the car out of the sun. Time for a carbon fiber knob.

FK2 cannot beat any 4WD or RWD current hot hatch in a standstill sprint, but you cannot compare FWD with 4WD/RWD. All those cars do 0-60 <5 sec.

No no, if the Type R has a perfect start and shift it does 5.7 secs.

A Megane Trophy and a Civic Type R FK2 almost evenly go from 0-60, so you won't see a difference there.

If you find them annoying, you can get them off just as easily as the rear badges. They are glued in place, so you can remove them if you really want to.

Luckily I have skinny tights, mine will be fine. :p

Well ofcourse a AWD cars with 300+ bhp are faster from 0, you can't compare it to the FWD the Type R has. It will always struggle more to get off the line, especially in moist conditions. The Type R is the more fun car the drive, more fast track car, it's designed to give the driver the most...

Very easy to fit. I loosend the clamb for the hose between the Airbox and the engine and popped that off. Then 2 clips for the airbox and you have plenty of space to pull the front half of the airbox out and switch the filter. 5 min job. Massive difference in sound like Loxy said. You can...

I fitted the pipercross last week and indeed the turbo spooling and BOV sound is very much more noticeable! :)

The only thing I hear is the car going into it's rev limiter, offcourse it crackles then. :p

The Type R didn't have the record for fastest production car but only for fastest FWD car. The Megane Trophy R was still the quickest FWD production car. This new Clubsport S is the quickest FWD, production, car till date. :)

I still think there are no good sounding exhausts yet. Invidia is coming with an exhaust in the upcoming weeks, maybe that would be better.

Hmmm, really need to hear it while driving / accelerating. In the promo video I don't find it much different than stock, and above it gives a little crackle what I do like. Hopefully soon some decent video's! I really want to make a decision for a system.

Agree, I had the same thing with my previous J VXR. The VXR button did the same thing as the +R button. I loved the increased throttle response but hated the rock hard suspension for daily drive. At the J VXR it was possible to calibrate the faster response to be in normal mode, so no need to...

99% of the time I'm in normal mode. Only when somebody wants to ,,race'' me or I want to go bezerk on a nice piece of road, I press the R button. :)

That all depends on the price difference between the 2. The difference here in the Netherlands between 95 or 97/98 is way to high to be cheaper. The miles you get extra with a higher octane are so slim, it doesn't cover the price difference here. I use 95 when it's not possible to get a higher...

Sounds so much better than the Scorpion and Milltek systems. This indeed sounds much more ,,meaty'' instead of that metalish sound. And the valve, such a must have for a daily car. This is my must have system! :) With a catfree downpipe it would sound even better and get some good crackles!

Do you guys notice any VTEC on the new FK2? I can't notice it, it just goes from low to high, I don't feel anything happen extra throughout the rev range.

2 tuners from Germany are over the 500nm and say that the clutch is slipping after the 500nm mark. Both tuners hold 480nm as max for safety, so why would they lie about that? :) 500nm is a lot for a stock clutch, so nothing really strange about that.

If you purely look at 0-XXX times, the Type R is not the car for you. It's a FWD, and it's one of the fastest ever. All competition will do the stand still starts 1 or more seconds quicker but those are RDW or AWD cars. On track the Type R beats every competition, even the M3 and M4. And it's...

I'm waiting on local remaps as well. So far some nice results though. Only remap can get between 370/380hp with 480nm of torque max. 480nm is the max the stock clutch can hold. With catless downpipe 400hp would be easy to achieve with around 530nm, but uprated clutch needs to be installed.

What I heard was that TDI north is busy with the ECU but still can't map the car. They have an intercooler, downpipe and intake they are testing now but are struggling with getting the ECU unlocked/mapped properly. Should not be long from now!

All cars are freaking expensive. For a Golf R or Audi S3 you are paying here 50k+. AMG45 even 80k. On the other side, nobody buys them here so they are very rare on the roads. :lol:
