In my opinion, I would take it to Somewhere like Area Motorsport and have the clutch changed, its quite rare for the master cylinder to fail on an Ep3. Clutch change will be about £350 all in and then your Ep3 will be worth a whole lot more then if you was to sell it as it is or break for parts...

Looks nice that, a lot of ep3’s are suffering from bad rust and rot underneath now. Good examples are getting hard to find. Are you keeping it standard or doing some mods?

I only had the geo checked and adjusted about 500 miles ago which it was spot on, which is the frustrating thing. Wasn’t sure if it would be ok with just changing drop links but I think you are right in getting it checked after installing just in case.

I’m going install new hard race front and rear drop links on my ep3 soon, after installing is it required to get the geo checked and adjusted again? Or should it be ok? Cheers

It might be worth trying a company called, vtecmonkeys They refurbish genuine Honda parts and fit new OEM or poly bushes as desired. I purchased a pair of new front control arms last year from them, they were spot on.

In my opinion go for genuine Honda, I replaced my rear shocks about 5 years ago for Sachs when I had eibach springs fitted, they are fine but sit higher than genuine Honda. If I was to change in the future I would go with genuine Honda instead.

Great work you had done there. I fully agree with the massive difference an lsd and final drive change make. Yes I did the exhaust change myself, it was pretty straight forward, just make sure you soak the bolts and nuts in wd40 a couple of hours before undoing them. It took longer to get the old one off then fitting the new m2.

Hi mate, thank you for the kind feedback, the ramps are great especially for exhaust works. They give about 25cm extra height. I find you get more clearance than jacking up on axle stands.

I prefer using 5w40 in my ep3 as it’s a little thicker and means I only top up every 2 weeks instead of every week :p These k20’s use some oil when in vtec a lot, ( which is every drive )

S/S bolts will be fine to use, it would take about 20 years for the reaction to happen. This brace bar is fitted for a reason, definitely needs replacement with a genuine Honda one, if you left it off the car would feel unbalanced.

If it’s a difference in power and acceleration you want to feel, then I highly recommend going for a Mfactory helical lsd and 5.33 final drive in the future. I recently did this on my ep3 and the difference is unreal. That said I have also had it remapped on a k100 before this and it’s a great...

You have to remove the front bumper to take the headlight out unfortunately. Have you tried a flexi magnet?

Philips extream vision bulbs are great, had them installed on mine for a couple of years now. Definitely a good improvement over standard bulbs

I would check behind the rear arch liners, a lot of ep3’s have nasty rust holes behind there, the facelift Ep3 was fitted with carpet / plastic arch liners which can encourage rust to develop.

Hi mate, behind the rear speakers it’s common to find some heavy rust behind there, which then will be found under the rear sills also, if it’s bad enough then the only way to get rid is to weld in fresh steel. Had a day off today, so got round to changing the front discs and pads. I’ve gone for RPB discs and PBS pads, it’s a good combo that I think works well. Forgot to mention when I had the new mounts fitted I had the Tegiwa ridgid collars fitted to the subframe and new Honda subframe bolts.

I did consider innovative billet mounts but everyone said the vibration was bad in the cabin, after asking a few people and reading reviews I decided to go for the vibratecnics, I definitely recommend them even though they are a bit more expensive.

I got mine done at my local Honda dealership recently, before it went in my engine sounded quiet and not tappety burn after they had done them it was definitely more tappety. Don’t get me wrong it performs great but it is a noisey. I’m guessing maybe they were adjusted too tight previously?

I’ve just fitted vibratechnics to my ep3, they perform amazing and hardly any vibration either, well worth the extra money in my opinion. If you buy cheap you buy twice.

Looks great, I’m not keen on the por15 or epoxy mastic products, I think your better off with good old fashion products like hammerite and waxoyl and recently used Bilt hammer s15 underbody wax.

In regards to the shim, not sure on this? As I had mine fitted by a company, you would have to ask Tegiwa. You probably could reuse the bearings but for the sake of around £100 I would personally change these bearings at the same time, yes this lsd is for road and track use, it’s a helical lsd...

I might be wrong but I think speaking to most FN2 owners they all have a bit of jerkyness especially when cold. If they remapped on flash pro / k100 I think this is eliminated, Mine isn’t mapped and does get jerky when cold but did get better when I installed new front shocks.

Just removed mine, I had to use a ball joint separator to get them off, they were proper welded on.
