I recently did my first track day in my EP3. It is totally standard and I didn't have any issues. What I did, which I think worked well, was do a novice track day and got some tuition. Track days are great fun.

No smoke, no smell. Later in the day of my first post I could feel that on the offending corner the brake disk was hot though. Guess I caught it early.

Due to the cold weather mine is down to 230-250 miles per tank (25mpg). Normally it would be at 300 miles per tank (30mpg).

Cheers guys, because (and I know it sounds silly) but most of the post I have read suggest that normally its the sensor that is supposed to tell you that the cat is faulty is actually faulty itself. I can get an emissions test done no problem.

OK so got myself a code reader and it gives one code of P0132 (O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 high voltage). Where is this sensor? could it be that the sensor wiring is getting wet and shorting or something. Or does mean my car is sucking in water which is affecting sensor?

OK so new battery fitted, but is the wrong battery so has the +ve and -ve on different corners. So now the bonnet stay rests on top of the positive terminal of the battery when down. There is a plastic cap on the battery and the end of the bonnet stay so the risk of a short is small I think. But...
