Looks like the site's been hacked

awesome! I'll have a look when I get home, probably a bug/exploit in the vbulletin code

Can't log in on my Macbook

Seems Facebook updated their API which is causing some issues with our version of vbulletin. I've disabled facebook integration temporarily while I upgrade the forum software to the latest release.

    possible attempted hack?

vBulletin used to be the dogs bollocks of forum software, sadly it's not so good these days. They were bought over a few years back and they seem more interested in building the vBulletin suite rather than the forum side of things. I've been considering xenforo which was setup by the guys who...

    possible attempted hack?

I've covered this is other sections of the forum but thought I'd put it here as well. We're doing pretty much everything we can at the minute to stop brute force attacks on accounts on the forum: - all failed login attempts are logged in the web server logs - we run a fail2ban script that...

    Why vBulletin?

For those that care it used to look like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20060208031807/http://type-r-owners.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php and shortly before we switched to vBulletin it looked like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20070225191053/http://type-r-owners.co.uk/forums

    Why vBulletin?

We originally ran on phpBB, but around 7 years ago we swapped to vBulletin as phpbb was quick frankly awful and full of security holes and every time I needed to upgrade it it was a major headache. At the time vBulletin were the dogs danglies of forum software, though to be fair there wasn't...

It's didn't sign up for this

It's a lot of effort for me to sit down and work out how much the hosting is costing as I run TRO of 1 of the servers I have with various other projects running on that I pay a set fee for (its heavily discounted as it my employers network and being the network manager has its advantages). The...

It's didn't sign up for this

You know it doesn't, I'm not forcing or begging anyone to allow the ad's, just asking nicely. If 1 small retargeting banner advert on the entire page is more than you can bear by all means block it.
  15. Al

It's didn't sign up for this

or maybe try supporting the forum by not blocking the ads that pay for the hosting ;)
  16. Al

It's didn't sign up for this

We use criteo for our adverts as google randomly banned our ad account, criteo shows what is called retargeted advertising, in other words it tries to sell you something it knows you've already looked at on a retail site ;)

Enter not dropping text by a line

Seems it was a bug introduced by the tapatalk plugin, I've put a workaround in place that should fix it. If you've been using the forum and its still not working try deleting your browser cache. I'm posting this from IE10 as a test :)

Forums spamming the **** out of me

yeah, the mailer daemon on the server appears to have locked up a few days ago, I restarted it this morning and it started to work through the 8000+ mails it had queued up. I've stopped the daemon while I clear out the queue before I start it back up again

  29. Al

    K-Pro. Mapping/Comparisons/Problems.

Yeah, the kpro is just a reworking of the original ecu, it should have a usb port on the side which is probably the easiest way to identify if it really is upgraded.

Interesting, what's your screen resolution set too? It looks like the text is just getting cut off as the screen is too small to display it all. I'll see if I can adjust some of the default column widths so that lower screen resolutions can see it.

After disconnecting the battery you need to "train" the electric windows for the automatic mode, its fairly simple just open and close them fully a few times and it works it out.
