My integrall was the worst car I ever owned, fixed one oil leak and then another spruntil up, think I just bought a bad one, however when it worked and It all clicked it was an amazing car to drive, so much feel, that steering was sublime

It’s not a great car and I’m on my 2nd one. It’s a great car to drive and for me a hell of a lot of fun at a good £30k price point. It’s not a great car because it’s poorly built, poor paint, rattles, a shity infotainment system. Lots of owners have a lot of issues. the drive is very rewarding...

I was also concerned but they have been brilliant paid for replacement tyres as the ones on it were budget and a few plastic trims that had marks on they have agreed to change, (I'm off to Honda in a bit). They drop the car off on an enclosed trailer, you have 7 days or 250 miles to send it back...

Don't pay over the odds as they will drop soon, especially when the new one gets released. I'm on my 2nd one and got it for a half decent price from Cazoo, I'd keep an eye on their website.

I think you have just got unlucky, just need to look at close up pics on Autotrader and see how decent condition some of the seats are in. I fully agree re th rest of the build quality, its not a patch on previous type R's and they need to up their game, so many rattles... and don't get me...

Going to disagree with you on this, I've owned 3 x DC2's and a DC5, as well as two FK8's the latter being on 34k miles and no issues with the seat at all. I distinctly remember seeing a lot of 60k mile DC'2 with knackered and ripped up bolsters and seats. I don't buy the FK8 seats being worse...

We forget how crap the material and build quality was on the DC2 seats, foam collapse was so bad, however they must learn at some point as a 2019 car should not suffer from crinkles and bolster issues like the FK8 does... I just can't see it through as they have had so many generations to learn...

I had a red one before my PMM, both amazing colours, red a bit more in your face, people stare and point more.

Well, I just thought life is a little short and went and got another, ok, prices are inflated but I got mine at a half decent price, and no one has a crystal ball that shows when or even if prices will drop down to old prices. Gets delivered this week, looking forward to Sunday morning country...

Very nice, was my first choice but on the way to the dealer, it was a grim wet day and it looked very ordinary and the red one just popped out.... very nice colour, cleaned and in the sun it looks special.

White all the way for me, Type R's jsut look great in white as do all Jap cars, even BMW, Ford and Porkers have started to copy them. I've had 2 x DC2's, DC5, EVO9GT all in white, the FD2 is also white, silver is for Merc's:lol:

Thanks guys, I must resist the modding route, I spent a small ofrtune on the DC5 (ejoyed every minute of it though), I was runnign toda mani, zorst, cams and Kpro, and it was very fast, perhaps a few too many ponies for the front wheels to cope with.:D

No - I thought I would save that excitement for the day I pick it up, TBH, I'm not too worried about not driving it, I've owned most honda's bar the NSX and FN2..... I bought a DC5 without driving it and was chuffed to bits, kept it for 2.5 years. If I don't like it I can sell it...

Dealer as Honda won't back it due to being an Import, it's a Auto Protect Warranty. Ddaler have just faxed through a signed statement with their stamp on it, I provided the wording. They will also carry out an oil change service for me FOC.:D

Thank you very much for this post, it's put my mind at ease, plus the fact Honda have put a 2 year warranty on with the car makes me somewhat more comfortable with the purchase. They are also faxing over a statement about the Gearbox etc... Looking forward to picking it up at the end of...

OK Guys, put a deposit down on the car yesterday, not had a chance to test drive it as it's a good few hundred miles away but at the price I got it for I thought it was worth the punt. The only reason I risked buying without trying is that it's at a honda main dealer and will come with a 2...

Wonder if it's worth a punt looking at this car if it's had gearbox probs, and then sold on by it's owner back to the dealership, and then gone on to buy another - at least that's how it looks (without knowing all the ins and outs of this car).:confused:

I think this car has had issues with the gearbox, plus it will only come with 12 months warranty....
