Buddy Club + MOT = "Computer says no"

Hi folks,

Got an MOT due very soon and would like to determine the steps to take in order to pass it. I know the pipe goes straight through and it's decat but what can I do - just go for it with my mitts crossed? or buy a OEM pipe + cat?

Talk to all your mates, they will know a MOT tester who will pass the car if you ask nicely enough..

Mechanic I knew, in West Sussex as it happens, passed mine when it was turbo'd 3inch straight through exhaust.. Just required a couple of pints later in the evening.

Amazing that you can pass an MOT with this type of set up and a ford focus sitting nearby with a nicly warmed engine!


on another note, when I had my old Mk3 Golf GTi 16V, which had a heavy modified engine and piggy ECU, it took 3 days and a tank of fuel for her to pass it's MOT.
