Facelift EP3 Shock Absorber Availability

Hi all,

My 55 plate EP3 is still on the 20+ year old suspension and i’m keen to refresh it. However, most places I’ve checked have shock absorbers which have a slightly different part number. I.e. the final digits represent the iteration.

Honda dealer part numbers

51605-S5T-Z06 ABSORBER UNIT, R. FR. SHOCK
51606-S5T-Z06 ABSORBER UNIT, L. FR. SHOCK
52611-S5T-Z05 ABSORBER UNIT, RR. SHOCK

But AutoDoc and others only have the ‘Z04’ type. Is this the older pre-facelift version? If so I reckon there will be a difference in ride and performance.

Any advice would be appreciated.

They do look to be an earlier revision. Have you tried somewhere like coxmotorparts.co.uk?

Hi Chris. Yeh I asked Cox but they’re discontinued now. Bugger
