FK2 FK2 75k/6year service costs

Hi,

Does anyone know how much their 75k/6year service price from Honda?
(FK2 Type R 2015)

I've had a look around and one dealership is quoting £315 and another is quoting £920?
I queried them on the price difference between the two dealerships and they mentioned the £920 is the one they follow with the Honda Guidelines? Where as the £315 one is apparently
the Honda 12+ one? No idea what the difference is...Any ideas please?

Thanks.

Honda used to do a “ Honda Happiness “ set price thing, maybe the lower priced one is that as I’m sure that’s about the right figure from memory

Ah I see, thanks for the reply. The strange thing is the one quoting £920 is the one I've always used (they gave me a free service plan when I bought the car) so this is the first time I'll be paying for a service. Could it be they're trying to recover their costs back? Just seems like a huge jump in price between the two dealerships. Hopefully a few more can give me an idea how much theirs costs. Hopefully it's the lower one as you mentioned

Yeah poss mate, I’d call around and ask for sure as that’s a massive hike

315 can't be anymore than an oil and brake fluid change and and a health check. When did you last have the valve clearances done? That would put it around the 800 to 900 mark.

During my fk2 ownership the valve clearances where done every 2nd year so twice in the 5 year service pack.

That's ridiculous! Just go to a specialist who will do a better job.

I think mine were done 2 years ago too. Whether they actually did something I'm not sure but I do know they ticked the "Inspect valve clearance" on my service sheet?

Well it's every 2nd service on the service plan. So would be due again really.
TDI North do a major service for 480 quid which is oil, filter, brake fluid, valve clearances, pollen filters and vehicle inspection. Pretty reasonable imo.

Interesting though that the fk8 only requires them at 75k miles (must be due to what a bargin the service pack was on the fk2.

I'll be getting my fk8 ones done well before that though

Depends what service schedule your car is set up on, I had my 6th year one at honda expecting big bill..
Low miles, valves done last year, So was advised basic 6th year service with health check, health check they throw in screenwash etc.
If you're low mileage go with standard 12+ with health.
