I had seen that. I'm not to sure on running down pipes just yet, without local remaps being available anyway.

I'm waiting on local remaps as well. So far some nice results though. Only remap can get between 370/380hp with 480nm of torque max. 480nm is the max the stock clutch can hold.

With catless downpipe 400hp would be easy to achieve with around 530nm, but uprated clutch needs to be installed.

That doesn't look very free-flowing to me! Surely the right angle where to two central points meet the horizontal pipe could be done a) individually and b) with a bend?

Is there any real evidence that the clutch can only hold 480nm of torque? Seems to me a bit of a figure plucked out from nowhere.

2 tuners from Germany are over the 500nm and say that the clutch is slipping after the 500nm mark. Both tuners hold 480nm as max for safety, so why would they lie about that? :)

500nm is a lot for a stock clutch, so nothing really strange about that.

I never said anyone was lying. There just didn't seem much information about it. Be interesting to see how the tuners here in the UK get on when they get the ability to remap and see if the threshold on the clutch is the same.

It's the new civic type R that is out towards the end of 2017. The current shape civic has been around for a while so is due for a change. Not sure if that particular model is coming to the UK though

Or hello exclusivity.

The 10th gen Civic is a world car platform and will be sold in the US and Canada, their first Type R. In the same way the new RS is available in most countries.

You've not seen the release of that affecting MK2 RS prices.

The 9th gen is EU, Jap and SA only and only 4,500 units. Prices will level out, they already have lost a fair chunk, but then they'll stabilise.

It's not going to be the first Type R in the US - they got the DC2

;)
