Just wondering, what peoples experiance with the CTR is after the car has covered a hefty milaege? Ie 32000 and above. Any more little niggles turning up on the car or is it still as good as day 1?

i arrived at the 40k mark going round the ring 8)

and i found MORE POWER

no serriously, only problem i have is a sterring creek and i need a new rear wheel bearing.

I'm approaching 39,000 and it's as good as new. I've never had any problems with mine whatsoever (Touches Wood). I reckon mine will reach 100,000 by the time I'm trading her in for something new.

Do you have any engine mods? I've been considering some but am put off by the worry that they may cause damage...

definitly recomend an induction kit, AEM is a great choice IMO:

quiet off vtec
sounds awsome on vtec
definitly pulls harder in vtec

an induction kit wont cause your any problems, nor will an exhaust system

None mate. The only mods I have is the Spoon N1 and B-Pipe and a lovely red starter button

Theonly mod I'm considering to the engine is a Gruppe M or Mugen airbox, more than likely the Mugen

I was thinking about an induction kit, so thanks for that, I'll look into it seriously. :smt023

Go for one that is enclosed in heat shielding or sits at the front of the engine bay.

If you fit one that sits at the back of the engine bay close to the the exhaust manifold you will loose power as it becomes a heat soak.

This is the reason I'm going for Gruppe M or Mugen

I'm just shy of 64,000 miles now.

It's just lovely to drive and the engine sounds awesome both in and out of V-TEC.

Recently done an oil change and it feels more powerful than ever. Gets to the redline much quicker than it used to

Roll on 100,000 miles!!

Just went passed the 36k mark no problems as to mods, I had the airfliter after 3 months of ownership, and have never stopped, no sign of damage yet.

54,000 miles on mine from new. Well over the lease maximum of 45,000  Penalty of 4p per mile. Eh well.

Still enjoying it - only niggle is SRS light staying on but I think it's linked to this (12 November 2003) : It's always the front left airbag sensor - can't think why :?

I have got 41000 on mine now and it was standard for 500 miles.
I drive it like a hooligan everywhere then race it weekends. Its better now than when it left the factory. 8)

Just make sure you get it serviced when it should be and if you are racing it or driving hard get your oil changed at 6000 miles or even less.

Oh yeah...and spark plugs DON'T last for ever. Im on my 3rd set.

Fook me
If 32K is a hefty mileage, what the hell do you call 100K?
I would call 32K nicely run in :)

mine has 64000 got it with 54000, only thing i have had done is the 2nd gear problem done(under warrenty off course)...apart from that still goes well..........in and out of vtec....

I always buy brand new cars mate and sell them after a year. Tax free and forces discount and all that.

If I buy a teg then it will be my first second hand purchase.

Ok, thanks Bazzer.

42k, going beautifully, pulling harder than ever. Only niggle is that occasionally when I hit vtec, the black dash cover underneath the glovebox falls off   Thus proving the fact that they get faster the more miles you put on them - it never fell off at 10k, 20k, 30k etc etc..

Mines just tured 32k and feels better than when it was new!!  8)

Mine has just under 67.5K miles and no problems at all. No warranty work carried out - only the usual tyres and brake pads replaced (and one set of front brake discs). Runs really well - don't let the mileage put you off :D
