my milano type r, ***a few new bits arrived today pg26***

Lovely clean car mate, love the new wheels they look great with any colour but especially sweet with Milano.

I agree that the new mats improve the interior no end, but must say that I had my JDM mats before I got the red carpet and they still looked great with the grey one.

I suppose once you've had the JDM ones anything else looks a bit cheap. :(

Cracking car though dude, a fine example. :smt023

Cheers dude, thanks for the great comments. :)

Alright mate. I have a few questions about the wheel.

Do they come with studs or did you order those too?

Do the old studs still fit?

And lastly What spec were they? 5x114 et45?

Thanks for your time.

Alright mate, Yes they did come with the studs, but i think the standard ones for the OEM wheels are slightly different if i remember correctly.
Also i think that is the size of the top of my head, try in the traders section on here and find BigJames from tweakculture, thats where i got mine, great service and super quick delivery.

i think tha J's racing strut is quite sexy, although powder coated red would look good, depending on your theme for the engine bay. how much are the FRSUs? i was thinking about it because ive heard it completely trasforms the car

Yeah they do look nice, not too sure exactly mate on the price, the front bolts are about £15 and the rear probably about £120 for the adjustable parts, then the labour to do it, nearest place for me from Cornwall is Fleet which is 200 mile trip for it to be done. But sounds like its worth the trip as everyone says it's likes driving a new car once its done.

but then again the drive to and from cornwall, the main way, is lovely goes on abit but its fun and can catch you out so gives you the perfect opertunity to test it out

True mate, i go up to Basingstoke quite often to see family, so Fleet isn't far off that, so i'm used to the roads so could be good to test on the way home. ;)

I'm going to try the DIY route first to save a long journey and labour costs.
I bought the springs, rear camber arms and front camber bolts and have so far fitted the rear camber arms. Next I'll tackle the fronts when I've got a bit of time.

Then there's a place local to me that can do the geometry, which they shouldn't really be able to screw up. I got chatting to a bloke there that used to have a CTR so he knew what I was talking about even though they specialise in Beamers and VXR's.

The springs are a different matter though. I'm not entirely confident about doing them myself, so I may just leave them for now and see what happens. The worry has been the labour costs as I've heard a lot of horror stories about siezed bolts and needing to cut them off etc which obviously adds to the cost of getting someone else to do it.

So far I've been lucky in that all that I've tried has been relatively straightforward without any need to get the grinder out (yet!).

I was thinking the same thing mate, fitting the adjusters myself and just paying for the set up to be done. How much were your camber arms and bolts and where did you get them if you don't mind me asking.

I bought the Skunk2 camber arms from the for sale section on here for £80 second-hand.

The Eibach front bolts were £30 new from eBay. :)
