Hi

I've just been quoted £110 including vat and all parts from a Honda dealership for valve clearance, does this sound about right?
 
There shouldn't be any parts for the valve clearances check, it's just an adjustment if needed.

That sounds pretty reasonable, around an hours labour on their rates. I'm sure you could get it done cheaper at one of the independent specialists though.
 
TGM in Fleet, Artech/Eurospec (same place) in Guildford, TDi-plc in Thurrock.

All well known with good reps on here.

Gasket is a maybe. It's the rocker cover gasket. A main dealer might replace it to be belt and braces, or not bother and keep the change.
 
My old man was under the impression he could just check/adjust the valve clearances himself quite easily?

Seems pretty expensive, unless it's more complex than we realise.
 
I had my clearances when I had my service. :D

And I don't recall paying for the parts, it's just labour.
