Steering improvements

I did a track day at Anglesey yesterday and whilst the civic is great the steering isn’t brilliant. I’m getting slow reaction on fast direction changes shows a weakness in the steering - it’s almost like there’s a lag in the assistance kicking in. I hadn’t actually realised until doing some digging today that the assistance is electric so:-
Problem with rack or electric motor
Does it need
-a solid slider
- solid or polybush rack mounts
Thanks

I don't have much knowledge so i can't help you but for the other members on here it might be worth mentioning which Type R you have so they can better advise.

Have you had a fast road setup done? It transforms the handling and greatly improves the sharpness of the steering.

no whats the fast road setup? is it just a geometary setup?
its got bespoke coilovers and adjustable top mounts to improve castor and camber. the rear is lowered and has more camber than standard

The general frsu settings are: 1 degree negative camber all round, 1 degree toe out at the front and 1 degree toe in at the rear...

Worth noting that you need front camber bolts and rear camber arms to achieve this. Oh and a thicker JDM rear anti roll bar helps a lot.

Hi - I'm planning a trip to TDi North and fancied getting the FRSU but I have some questions please:

What things can affect the setup and make it invalid?... I presume wear & tear is a factor (as with normal tracking / wheel balance).
So in a year or 2 would I need to go back to a specialist to get it corrected? Seems like long term it would be better just to get 4-wheel alignment from a local garage.

Appreciate any advice - thanks.
