That freakin knob gets extremely hot! Man, I burned myself when I got the car out of the sun.

You can put a little sock over it which will keep the temperature down.

I still use a 1st Gen Ipod Nano sock over the gearknob in the winter. Works and fits a treat.

I have a King Bob sock that I put over mine, helps when it's burning hot or freezing cold!
