How to tell if the head gasket fail

Hi, I currently stuck with a coolant system after I change the radiator, fan switch and thermostat, and I keep topping the coolant up, coolant seems dry out slowly in the radiator to me, I wonder where the coolant going to..and I'm start to thinking if the head gasket is blow? In what way should I notice it? Any suggestions and help I'll be appreciated..

Your oil would be mixing with water and you would get a white frothy film under the oil cap.

Thanks loxy , I will look for this which I've hear about that, perhaps I should start to look around for the Honda specialist to sort this out for me. Tired of this especially this time of the year too..

Hmm, well that means your heater matrix is in tact... You've had a new radiator, so the only thing left is the pipework. I suggest you wrap each connection in kitchen towel, fill your coolant up and run the car up to temperature for 5-10 minutes. Check each towel... hopefully 1 will be wet.

Ok, that sounds good idea to me to check if the coolant leaks some where, I'm gutted to think if the car had bad head gasket, I only drive it couple of time since I bought it few month back.

If your head gasket was gone it'd be like Loxy said, full of mayonaise in the oil filler cap & on the dip stick too. If it was really bad HG leak it'd run like a bag of spanners too.

I remember last time I change the engine oil, wasn't quite notice any mayo in the oil. But I can recheck it wasn't been throw away yet..the dip stick looks ok too me though, the oil is fresh oil now.

I don't know which of these mean you definitely have a bad head gasket but they can point to one
Correct me if I'm wrong but;
1.Do a compression test to check for poor compression
2.Coffee coloured oil on the dipstick
3.Coolant bubbling when trying to bleed
4.Loss of coolant and thick white smoke
5. I think you can also do a test to check if oil has mixed in with your coolant

A blown head gasket doesn't always mean oil contamination. If it's only a small blow from the coolant jacket into the combustion chamber, it'll burn that coolant off and sometimes not produce a lot of white smoke.
First of all I'd either borrow or invest in a coolant pressure tester. Pressurise the system and see if there's any leaks and check to see how much the pressure drops.
Have you checked the water pump isn't leaking?

Thanks for all of you guys input, I'll check properly with pressure tester to see where the coolant had gone to..
