FK2 Puncture avoidance

Hi all,

There is spare tyre in the FK2 and the Conti's are not run flats. What do you all do to try and avoid punctures and blowouts. Is a case of getting a tow when the dreaded happens?

There should be a bottle of tyre sealant and a pump tucked in one of the cubby holes in the boot

The last 2 punctures I had, both on motorways, albeit many years ago, the bottle of gunk would have been useless.

Has to be a spare for me rather than wait for the AA.

Correct tyre maintenance should avoid blow outs. Always make sure the pressures are correct and inspect them regularly for damage. The gunk is only designed to get you to a garage if you have a small puncture so ensure you have adequate breakdown cover.

Does honda assist do tyres or could they take you to a garage? (Obviously you'd have to pay for tyre)

And i agree the tyre gunk is a last resort, tyre fitters hate you if you use it
