Honda Civic Tourer axed and diesel engines could go the same way

Shame, the current Tourer is a good car in its diesel guise.

I've run two over the past year and they have been brilliantly frugal. Refined for a diesel, loads of room.
Most i've had is 94mpg on a 20mile run.
65-70mpg off a tank full
Over 60mpg over 20k miles

No new cars will come with diesels soon. Unless there's some new technology, they'll never meet emissions regulations. That's why we're seeing more of these small capacity turbo petrol engines.

It's only a matter of time now before they try and phase out older cars that don't meet emissions with increasingly extortionate road tax increases.
