I recently brought Nextbase 212 camera and i want to install in my ep3 but hardwired,
which fuse would be best to replace with?
Has anybody hardwired there dash cams on ep3?

Anything that's operated by the ignition. Ideally you want a multi meter or tester to find one.

Get the kit with one of these. Makes it alot easier.

I want to install it from the fuse box under the steering wheel which are smaller fuse
I'm not sure if the Nextbase hard wiring kit comes with the smaller fuse adapter

I'll have to double check. I used this in my missus' car and I think it's for small fuses.

Also was wondering which fuse would be the best to replace with, i have a multi-meter but don't know how to use it

You want to set it to DC. If it doesn't say that it'll look like this...

Some will allow you set a voltage range. Obviously you want the one that'll read 12v.

Put the red probe into where you've removed the fuse, then the black probe onto the car body somewhere. A bolt is usually a good one.

If it reads 0v then you turn on ignition and it changes to 12v (or there abouts) then use that one.

I installed my dashcam using....

I used the cigarette lighter fuse.

The Nextbase kit already has a fuse tap on it. You remove the existing fuse under the drivers footwell and put the fuse in the kit and then put the tap in the slot where you removed the fuse.

I ran the cables underneath the driver side pillar trim and down to the fuse box.

The cam comes on when the ignition is switched on.

Hope this helps
