FK2 Phone charging galaxy s8

Has anyone got a Samsung galaxy s8 that they charge in the car using the usb port.ive always charged my phone this way when in the car,but from today for some reason when I plug it in my phone screen goes blank and I cant see anything on the phone apart from it saying....your phone is connected by mirror link.im guessing it's some update on the phone that's caused this,but I don't know what?and it says on the radio,smartphone not compatible!I'm baffled,please help

You can always trying force stopping MirrorLink in the settings > show system settings > Samsung mirrorlink on your phone to see if that works.

doesn't the source on the HU need to change for mirrorlink to work, or am i thinking HDMI?
+1 vote for a 12v charger though. i went with the Aukey unit, but just as good as the Anker's imo.
