Very nice low mileage example it looks like you have there. Enjoy.

Thanks for the comments.
Photos don't really do justice, the car itself is in very good nick but the wheels were flaked and peeling. I've swapped them to a spare set of silver 17" Type S alloys and left the whites in for powder coating.
My last Type R, a black 07, was written off in August 2017 after barely two weeks of ownership. I was just waiting on the insurance companies deciding who was liable before I could afford to insure another. Now I'm in the clear, here we go again, hopefully with greater longevity and less twisted metal and airbags.

Thanks, it was the M200 I originally was after but tbh I prefer the triangular exhaust tips anyway so I've probably saved myself a few quid there.

Also saved yourself of having 0 effort sourcing replacement body parts, the M200 owners are in for a shock if they have an accident

Alloys, front and rear splitters, mirror caps, from what I gather the splitters are no longer available

Work done thus far:
Replaced gear gaiter https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/302363732911
Easy swap - no hassle - obviously a rep but looks the business and the one fitted when I bought it was tired and peeling.

Replaced OEM gear knob with a Skunk2 (gumtree £35)
Again, easy swap - no hassle and while the extreme temperatures will still be an issue hopefully it will improve (from a v high standard to begin) the gear change somewhat.

Refurbished the 18" white alloys and re-stickered the center caps. Local firm did the sandblasting / powder coating. Look totally mint again having gone from about a 30% peel on the worst of the four wheels. £200 with tyres off and back on. £3 center cap decals.

2 Gerry cans of fuel - less said about that the better.

5× Le Man's 17" alloys in Anthracite coming from the boys at Cox Motor Parts (awaiting delivery)

And the maiden outing is tomorrow... Been sat patiently on the driveway since 23rd September.
