JMR's Honda #5

I feel like of all the people who could take this on within this forum, you’re going to struggle with this the most.

Not because you’re not capable, but because this is going to push all your buttons until it’s resolved.

I've got one job left and thats to wet sand the drivers headlight :D
I'm just waiting for a decent dry day to do it.

The rest of the car is looking great now.

I've turned it round from a shed into a genuinely respectable daily driver.

Read all of that. Well played sir.

Good start so far. It’s really interesting to see a CRV build thread. I am huge fan of the 2nd Gen CRV, I used to sell these when I worked for Honda, great fun chucking these about into a roundabout. :D

Looking forward to the updates of you working your way through the list.

Cheers Loxy
Best part about being lazy updating the thread - I've been able to update everything in one go :)
Just done it bit by bit over the last 6 weeks.

Wow! Good work reviving that, looks like a new car now. I want to buy it from you even though I have no need for it!

Thanks Mark :)

I bought it cos it was a bargain. I've thrown about £500 at it and its the car that goes anywhere and everywhere now.
Plus I don't get too precious about where I park it.

It doesn't garner attention like the Porsche or the yellow Clio, whether good or bad if you know what I mean

ps... its not for sale lol

I think its worth double what I paid for it, so even if I keep it 18 months (which is the plan) I don't think I'll have lost any money come resale time

Finally got #28 on my list sorted today

Wet sanding the drivers headlight to remove the crazing and haze. :)

That's everything on my list COMPLETE :D

Happy days.
Car could do with a wash tbh.

I'll see what tomorrow is like and if I can be bothered

Car is now FOR SALE !!!

As I've just committed to buying a slightly newer CR-V which is the next shape up from this one.

Looking for around £2000 for it.

Honda CR-V 2.2 EX CTDi
Nighthawk Black - Registered 27/04/06

Car is in daily use, so this may rise.

You may notice the car is now wearing genuine Honda side rails

Only small niggle is the passenger side door doesn't open with the central locking.
You have to lift the door button up from the inside. The interior and exterior handles obviously work though.
We don't use the rear doors so its never been an issue.

Everything else working, car has no problems.
