Aftermarket ICE installation query

Hi,
I've posted this in the newbie section but thought it more appropriate to put it here.
I'm buying a 2011 FN2 this weekend. I want to add a unit with Android Auto.

Been looking at various videos, articles, etc and I will be fitting an aftermarket Head Unit so I can use Google Maps or Waze, and the phone. - looking at either the Kenwood DMX-7017DABS or the Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB. Anyone got any views on either unit. Kenwood seems to get good reviews but I know the Pioneer has Parrot technology so probably a slightly better phone?

From what I've read I need the Connects2 CTKHD01 Complete Head Unit Replacement Kit ( seen it at the Car Audio Centre), and I assume I'll also need a DAB Antenna?

I assume with all this it's just a case of removing the original radio, fascia etc and plugging the new kit in, or do I need anything else?

Is this likely to affect the clock display, Air con controls, etc. and will I still be able to use the radio controls on the steering wheel?

Any advice much appreciated please.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi
I went with the Pioneer from Halfords with the install kit. No real problem to fit the only issue I've had is that my DAB reception isn't great with a film antenna. Saying that I use Spotify most of the time so it's ok.
I bought a set of trim tools and found a great video on YouTube to remove the dash.
