FN2 FN2 lowering questions

Hi all,

My first post on here after plenty of lurking. I have been doing plenty of searching on here and cant quite find the answer to my question but forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere.

I need to replace a front shock absorber and as I'm going to replace both fronts I thought i might as well lower the car on 15mm eibachs at the same time.

My question is, can I get a normal 4 wheel alignment after fitting the springs from a normal alignment/tire shop or do I need to get a specialist alignment?

Plan is eventually to get a FRSU but all the places recommend on here seem to be miles away from me. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Anyway bonus picture below.

I had an Fn2, got eibach 15mm drop springs put on along with camber bolts on the front. Doesn't need a "specialist", just give the alignment place your required settings.

My fn2 is on eibach springs, got my alignment done at kwik fit and the only issue was the camber was put out slightly on one side. Only way of adjusting this is by holding the hub with the bolts loose that go into the bottom of the shock then tighten once in the desired place. Or get eibach camber bolts for better fine tuning.

Thanks both. Answered my question and I'm going to order some springs and camber bolts shortly

Nice, what springs did you go for? I got Eibachs based on reviews however find there is still a bit too much body roll. Will be getting Teins or coilovers soon!

Going for eibach and see how I get on. Might end up going for coilovers eventually, I'll struggle to get In my drive if i lowered it much more though.

Have you changed the ARB bushes?
That might cure the roll.

Yeah man have changed them four times in the 120k miles I have done in the car they wear surprisingly well so will most likely change the polybushes.
Put it this way I changed them 4 months ago and they are already cracked and stretched open....

What are you using?
My original Honda lasted to 40k and then were only showing the early signs of wear. So I put genuine Honda in to replace.

I use genuine Honda ones as well, just re read my message and meant they seem to wear really quick!

Was looking into whiteline ARB with polybushes but will most likely stay OEM ARB and aftermarket bushes

I've also been looking into getting springs too, question is I see a lot of the type rs are lowered on the 15mm eibachs but on 18"s I've got the 19"rage alloys, what the maximum I can lower too before scrubbing etc.
The cars purely for looks and not track days etc.

Before you lower it, think about where you are likely to ground it.

If it's happening now it will get worse 15mm lower.

18" and 19" end up being the same diameter when you factor in tyres, so there is no difference when lowering either. 15mm doesn't scrub on its own, if you have 15mm spacers or above on there then it will on the front liners.
