I know it’s subjective as people will argue it’s how the car is driven but hear me out.
My clutch is not slipping but it is however displaying signs that the pressure plate is on its way out. Stiff/heavy pedal and having to touch it to the floor for a notchless shift (and I still need to double clutch if it’s to be kept totally smooth).
I dug out some service history today which shows that it had exactly the same symptoms bang on 20k miles ago (I.e pressure plate issue) and got a new clutch.
So my question is, do I definitely want to go oem again if the last two have failed before actually wearing out?!!
Car is mapped but it’s hardly a huge increase in power at 214bhp
