FAULT, NEED HELP

So I just bought my first ep3 type R 55 plate, it’s been looked after full service history, new timing chain 3k ago, oil and water levels are fine, so I was driving back home after paying for the car drove fine for around 50 miles then it started juddering and the engine light kept flashing on then off again then I figured out that it judders/hesitates under acceleration, the engine light is now on all the time, I don’t have the money to pay hundreds to spend on diagnostics so if anyone knows what this could be I would greatly appreciate it, the car still drives and will sit at 60mph in 5th no problem but soon as you put your foot down there’s a delay and it judders before picking up, also not very smooth on idle now, thanks.

Bad injector? Bad fuel filter? Does car start ok, without excessive cranking?

So it starts fine no problems, just judders when you accelerate, someone said it might be the o2 sensor? Just hoping the engine isn’t knackered.

If you're not willing or able to regularly spend £££'s on diagnostics, repairs, servicing and above all preventative maintenance this is not the car for you. They cannot be properly run in the long term on a low budget.

You can expect at some point to need a clutch and gearbox repairs, that's inevitable and can be a £1k+ job. If £20 for a diagnostic scan causes a problem then this really isn't for you.

(not being a dick, just telling you how it is!)

It’s not that I won’t have money but I’ve just bought the car so I’m skint, and I’m not one for throwing money away and Honda charge £80 an hour for diagnostics, looking for ideas on the problem the car has not life advice.

Is the car standard or modded? As far as I know, the only time the EML will flash is if it has KPro or similar on where it can be coded to flash if the ECU detects engine knock. I don't recall a situation where the standard ECU will flash the EML.

It's worth buying a cheap code reader from Amazon and connect it up to see what code is logged on the ECU. Without knowing what the ECU thinks is wrong it's hard to progress with any other diagnosis.

Honda may charge £80 an hour but there are more Honda specialists up and down the country than you can shake a stick at, some better than others, who will charge significantly less. Where are you located?

That said a bit of self-diagnosis is the cheapest options and should give you some idea of that the issue might be.

So the car is 100% standard, I got a fault reader and the faults are, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 and P0304 misfire on cylinders 1,2,3,4, just hoping it’s nothing major.

All misfire based and definitely shouldn't be driven in that state :( Could be anything from plugs back to spark distribution, engine running lean (maybe your OBD reader can tell you that, depends on what you have), vacuum leak (check for disconnected or missing hoses, loose segments of the intake, suction/whistling noises under idle, etc.). Do you have a local garage you trust?

EDIT: Revising my estimate, won't be plugs or individual coil-packs since it's affecting all cylinders. Could still be electrical, but a vacuum leak sounds like a good candidate.

Strange how it was fine for 50 miles, then you get all these codes. Sounds like a vacuum hose has come off.
Check the intake pipe for signs of repair or splits.

I’ve had a look in the engine bay can’t see any lose or damaged hoses, car still Starts up on the button no problems, after a minute or so it does start to shake and hunt though, and the exhaust splutters a bit, this won’t be a car ending problem?
