Does any own or previously owned one who can share their experiences of them, looking at the 1.8 i-vtec. Ta.

I am looking at importing an edix at the moment, Either in 1.8, 2.0 or 2.4 guise
Preferably the later as would rather have the k20/k24 engine

But they all seem to be autos and 1.7.

Seen a few manual mugen examples in the auctions and thats what im hoping for.
Also hoping for black leather which is rare too, all either velour or cream leather

We need an extra full seat in the back and the FRV / Edix ticks those boxes.
I cant bare the thought of a zafira or c-max etc.

My grandad had one from new back in 2005. Great little car although slightly funny looking but I quite like them

Update:

Literally just had a response from one importer I am talking to.

They were all built in Japan, but the FRV had manual / auto option.
The jap market only got the autos. (explains why I cant find a manual Edix)
Might have to test drive an auto..

They said avoid the 1.7 D series engine which I would anyway as its cam driven.

But there is also an option of FWD and AWD which is something interesting learnt today.
