Insuring a JDM Type R

Can anyone comment on insuring a JDM import type r, is it generally more expensive? Anything to bear in mind when insuring one?

Generally more expensive, yes, but not by as much as some people think (assuming you're not an inexperienced/young driver).

Don't bother with any online comparison sites as they'll most likely be incorrect. I'm currently with Admiral but I've also used Greenlight.

Import skyline gtr cost me £600 a year with sky. Tuned civic was £550.

I’ve had a couple of JDM imports in recent years and never had any premium which shocked me. Pretty much the same as the UK cars I’ve had.
