2011 central locking

I have an issue with the locking on my civic. Its not a type R, its a 1.8 SI.
Basically ive fitted a new boot lid, unbolted the old one and bolted the new one on and connected the wiring. The new one came with all the wiring harness and trim/lock so jyst left those all in place.

Now i cant open the boot without climing in the boot to get at the latch and the central locking doesnt work.

Because the new boot has a different lock does it need programming to the car?

Thanks in advance guys.

Doesn't need programming. I would suspect lock or loom is faulty.
