Rebuild Questions ,Crankshaft repair,Big end size, Timing chain

Hello All i am a new member on here :p
Just did a search on the forum but could not get the answers I was looking for

just have some questions

Just took the engine apart a K20a2 from my CTR EP3
And number 3 bearing has spun and put some groves in the crank
I believe I can get the groves out as there not too bad (It prolly will not need a regrind)
Then I will measure the crank with a micrometer

I want to rebuild it so its reliable

1.can this crankshaft be reground ? If so by how much ?
Does anyone know a good machine shop ?
2.what is the biggest size big ends l can fit 0.25 mm 0.5mm or 1mm
4.EP3s burn oil is it from the valve stem or the valve stem seals
5.has anyone used a non OEM timing chain and was it reliable ?

who has the best prices for the bits I need ?

Thanks for any replys

I've never heard of any success long term with reworking the crank. They have a coating which once ground is no longer present and will wear away any bearings etc.

Another engine or a k24 frankenstein seems to be the most popular option for bottom end failure. Certainly the way I'd go if that ever happened.

1. It's probably more cost effective to buy a used or new crank
2. As above
3. K20s use oil but unsure how. Perhaps the oil control ring isn't so effective at high RPM (comparing to a 'conventional' engine)
4. Personally I would trust anything other than OEM for such a part
