Had the car 3 months now and have only done 1k in it due to the lockdown. I bought some 18 inch alloys to replace the oem 17s. 2kg a corner lighter plus a new set of f1 asy 5. Changed the chrome details to gloss black. Just ordered a thicker Whiteline rarb, should help handling immensely.

Put a whiteline rarb on a few weeks ago, car handles great with it. Got a stage 1 remap booked for Saturday :smt025

Should go from 208 to around 265/270. Being done on the dyno so I'll have before and after runs.

My a4 was a 2.0tfsi and went from 220 to 250 ish, made a real difference to how it was driving. Much more power lower down. A big torque increase without being a spike. That was a bluefin box, which I was really happy with.

A dyno chart is always nice to look at to see where the increases are made. So I look forward to hearing how much it changes.

I'll put a pic up. What year was that Norv? The engine in mine is the EA888 which is actually a TSI

It was an 07. BUL from memory. I know things have moved on a bit, but similar numbers so I'm sure it will put a smile on your face.

Do you know what torque you were running? The EA888 is already pretty torquey at 258lbft or 350nm, I will aim to keep the torque up to 400nm just so not too much stress is put on clutch etc.

No idea on torque figures. It was just the bluefin so I took the numbers with a pinch of salt anyway. I didn't have any clutch issues and it always felt manageable.

Just checked their site. 300nm to 330nm.

Looking forward to Saturday, will be prepping the car tomorrow for the remap.

Need to take the car back next week as the dyno was out of action, got a file uploaded and the car is fantastic with it. Very similar to before up to 2.5k then things go wild :D

That's a shame you won't get before and after, but glad you're happy with the increase so far. It will be nice to have some figures to chat about though.

The alarm has been randomly going off for the past 5 days, usually around 3 or 4 in the morning :picardfp:
These cars have a siren back up battery that is good for around 10 years, my car is 9. So, I bought a 2015 siren for £15 off ebay and fitted it tonight. So far, so good. It was a pain to fit, should be a half hour job but the nut was seized. The siren is located in the driver's wheel arch towards the door pillar. Wheel off, wheel liner loosened but then you have to remove a bung at the top of the wing to reveal an access hole to stick a 13mm socket down to release a nut that holds the siren in place. The nut was seized so the nut and bolt just spun aimlessly. No easy access to drill it out, so what can I do? Yep, had to partially remove the wing. I eventually got the siren out then it took another 20 minutes to drill the bolt out. Two hours in the end, but I got there. Took the car out for a blast, boy does it shift now.
