FK8 Anyone touched up their brembos?

Rotated my tyres today and gave the callipers a good clean and noticed two chunks of paint out the rear left where they replaced the pads. Anyone used a Halfords touch up pen or similar and if so what red?

Oh, and anyone who clicked for some weird perverted automotive parts porn I apologise...dm me and will send a link for that

Edit, just remembered the rears aren't brembos..!:(

I believe the halfords touch up pen same colour code as the actual red type r matches well. However I've got some chipex for my girlfriends red 2015 polo. Literally a perfect match as far as my eye can see!

thanks all!

This made me laugh from halfords website for that pain: "Maximum working temperature of around 80 degC (brake calipers do not actually get that hot)"

Er, yes they do.

I've got clear coat peeling on my brembo's, thought this thread was about that at first
Fan, If you're feeling brave you could paint the unpainted parts around the edge of the pads too ;)

it can be about the brembos on the front too, we are all one big brake family.. Yeah the bare metal bits on the back callipers have rust on which I did an ok job of removing, but would be good to paint all red.

Do you track yours then Mick? Having clearcoat peel already is a bit pants

Nah but I was wanting to this year (doesn't look likely)
Got the car going in for a service in about a week, going to question the dealers about the clear coat on the brembo's (car is only 2years old)
Fingers crossed they will do something about it

did you get it new? If not, people and even dealers who take it to hand car washes can cause this as the severity of the chemicals they use on wheel washes is savagery...

Jumping in on this as my 'new to me' DC5 Brembo's have not been looked after well. The outer surface areas have lost their lacquer and gone semi pink with it.
So Halfords red brake caliper paint is a close match??? Will give it a try when I refurb the calipers.

The pink bit is normally just missing lacquer, so a re-lacquer maybe all it needs.

You can spray them with back to black bumper shine. If that brings them up ok then it's probably just lacquer.
