ABS light HELP

Messages

Hi, really need some advice. Car failed big on mot, got everything sorted, apart from the abs light is still on. It's been on 4 different code readers, and keeps coming up with "no codes logged ". Driving me nuts.

You need a dedicated ABS code reader. Foxwell unit on amazon for around 130 is the best one I have used.

Obd dongles, cheap code readers etc will only talk to the engine control unit.

Thanks Norv. I used my Obd dongle (useless), but I don't know what the mechanic used. Don't fancy paying 130 if I'm going to use it once.

If you search around civinfo for "tin foil trick" there is a way to display ABS fault codes on the dash - Fiddly, but less than a HDS :D

Cheers guys, turns out it was the sensor. (I said that all along, but I'm not a mechanic, what do I know)
