Finally own a Type R

Hi all,

Having owned a 2007 Type S and a 2015 Civic Sport, a low mileage 2 owner unmolested 2010 Type R came up locally and I couldn't resist after a test drive.

I've been a member on civinfo for years for my previous Civics but thought I'd join this forum now as well.

Only had her 2 weeks but loving it.

Just got that squeaky clutch pedal to sort

Thanks all, yes she seems a really good example.

Only 52k miles and 2 previous owners each owning her for 5 years.

Very clean inside and out IMHO so couldn't resist buying one any longer

Paintwork looks great for 10 years old! Were you lucky enough to get LSD on that? Wasn't 2010 the switch over to LSD as standard on the FN2 Type R?

Cheers, the paintwork isn't too bad at all for its age.

My understanding is from March 2010 LSD was fitted as standard and this was registered in October 2010 so I'm assuming it's a post March 2010 build so should have the LSD

A beautiful example...spotless under the bonnet :D

I've had both an LSD & non LSD FN2 & TBH I didn't notice much difference :p

A Milltek Non Resonated exhaust would wake the car up without being annoying ;)

Yeah, I've a non-resonated Scorpion exhaust on the EP3 and it sounds nice without being overly loud/annoying, especially when warm. The same can't be said for the decatted Blitz Nur Spec-R I had on my previous MR2 Turbo :smt047:lol:

The creaky clutch pedal was something that was originally replaced under warranty iirc.
My 08 plate GT certainly had been replaced.

Worthwhile pushing the clutch pedal in while squirting some WD40 or graphite lube spray right up the cylinder.

I've had exactly the same noise from my last CR-V and my current one (2006 and 2007 models)
The WD40 keeps noise away for 3 months or so at a time.
 
Looks nice and clean, I planned to keep mine stock, that lasted about two months ><
