I'm hoping they will be better for my renewal time this year

They have always been £500 more than everyone else, and same as brentache :(
 
I was with Chris Knott last year. My renewal was the same [give or take a few pence], called up Sky who quoted me £200 more.

Gave Adrian Flux a call who came in over £50 less than my Chris Knott renewal and got a generally better deal all round when everything taken into account.
 
Worth a look then. I last used Sky insurance, to be fair the price was the best i could find and i thought the service was exceptional.
