I like it. I was behind a golf R this morning and I didn't even realise for about ten minutes. It's so plain and uninspiring. Also looks kinda gaudy for some reason, saying that, the type R is a bit gaudy too but at least it looks mean and has some flair to it. The red wheel is heinous though. Not sure what Honda were thinking when they added that.....

Having seen the Civic Sport in the Brilliant Sporty Blue (what a name...! ) in the showroom, I think this will be epic, particularly in that colour.
Still some things I'm not keen on, but I've grown to like it more since the unveiling.
Hopefully the red steering wheel inserts and wheel lips can be changed in the options list.

Yeah. I have to agree I do like that blue too. Before you all slap me I do like the new Type R as a 5 door. 
A type R as a family car in normal mode then drop the wife and kids off at the house. Then switch it to R mode woohooo.

Had a good look at this today at Thruxton. Just stood there staring at it.
Have to admit the VW's sounded better on track.
Got all excited when I walked round a corner to see a Honda stand and a glimpse of a white Civic with big spoiler but it just turned out to be a mugen FN2.
Looks good doesnt it.
I was there Saturday on a VIP day courtesy of Honda Yuasa. [a free draw at work]
Pit and garage tours, lunch with team and drivers, and free food and drink all day !!!!

Completely agree. Next car I get will need five doors so this is definitely under consideration.
