Type r heritage gone forever?

Was talking to a friend about the new and upcoming type r and the fact that it is turbocharged. And this left me thinking that we will never see another n/a k series engine ever again due to the new emission laws. I am excited about the new civic, but cannot help but think the spirit and heritage of the type r will be gone. Hopefully we might see a few jap special editions to keep the name alive. I never get over the brilliance of the engineering in these cars,only yesterday beating my father in his turbo'd 2.5l 5 cyl st. V tec power!!!
