Motorsport Homologation

Hello, I am new here and hoping I am posting in the right section.

I am a codriver/navigator in Rallies and I am navigating in an 07 plate type R Group N car.
I am not sure which model it is

and that is my question is it an FD2 or an FN2
I ask because the car is homologated for international motorsport until 2017 as far as I can gather but the governing body website differentiates between FD2 and FN2 (see below) and I am not sure how to identify our car. Thanks in advance, Martin

Hi Martin the fia and motor sport Ireland have very clear guidelines on this. The Fn2 is the Euro model and therefore adheres to normal fia and motorsport Ireland standards. The fd2 is the Japanese import model and there is no homologation for this model therefore it has to run in the modified class. If you contact Robert corrigan head scrutneer for motorsport Ireland he will be able to guide you. Do you nav for Roy demptster?

The one in the picture above is the Euro Fn2 model the jap model is the saloon fd2.

That's great thank you. The car competes under an MSA logbook predominantly in MSA rallies so I didn't contact Motorsport Ireland. I am just researching for doing some international rallies later in the season perhaps.
The drivers name is Barnett,
Roy Dempster is just happens to be a good photographer and I used his site as a visual link.

Thanks for explaining that it is very clear. The driver also has an EP3 Civic Type R in group N which he has not rallied yet and we use an Ep3 as our recce car.

It is class 3 on M.I events and Class 1 in the Northern Ireland Championship. (under 2.0 GrpN) Our next planned event is Munster. The EP3 will probably be used on gravel some time.
