I'd approve of this if the cars were half the size and weight. Be it that they're giant and ugly as sin, I'd say that honda have just hung themselves by taking the ONLY good thing left, the high revving N/A engine, and chopping it in for a little turbo turd to please the tree huggers.

The FK had zero appeal to me and now the rest of the range is following suit.

Honda are now just producing the same as everyone else. Souless 'ring cars with boring turbo engines. DNW.

That hot air balloon at the end of the spirit of Honda advert? It just caught on fire and crashed into niagra falls.

They are also going to make a 1.5 Turbo with circa 205 bhp. That would be a cracking mid range/warm hatch motor for the Civic and range topper for the CR-V and HR-V, never mind the mini NSX/S2000 replacement that is rumoured?

It's not all doom and gloom!

That doesn't appease me at all. Unless it revs close to 9k I'm just not interested. IMO it's not a Honda worth having if it doesn't.

Nothing new boosting small capacity engines. I'm surprised it's taken Honda this long to jump onboard.
I like these small turbocharged engines. Plenty quick enough town and motorway and easy to get 50mpg plus.

I wonder if in 15-20 years time, anything with a K or B series in it will be worth £££££ because nobody mainstream makes decent engines anymore.

Not as exciting as revving to 9k though

A decent B series engine seems hard to get and as such seem to be rapidly increasing in value already

^ tis true. B16A's are like hens teeth.

B16A2's not so much, you can get a sub 100k A2 for £200-£250.

K20's can be had for £500 up.

Absolute bargains both of them. If I had the money and the space, I'd squirrel a few away for 2050 oldschool honda builds

As above really, VTEC made Honda unique, now they're just another tree hugging brand.

I'm not interested in 50mpg, fuel light comes on, I fill it up. Okay so I may have only done 85 miles but I was hooning on a track! lol!
