Partyvan's 270bhp N/A track slut

My Teg's lap times at Donington were in the 1m24's on its first outing after me owning the car for a few days, so would worry a lot of machinery. Honda's really are great track cars.

I remember Mark Eley's properly fast CRXs. IIRC one ran a B20 frankenstein lump and another had a boosted B18.

Sadly Mark is no longer with us, he passed away nearly 7 years ago now.

Cheers dudes. Currently waiting on conversion parts to arrive from the U.S then I'll post more!

Lots of welding, paint and so on will be happening!

Charged b16 with b18 head from eBay/crx forum per chance??

Nope this will be my K20 engine

Just a few tease pictures ;)

A CRX like that was my first introduction to VTEC in 1995. A co-worker let me have a go, then probably wished he didn't as I hadn't noticed the speedo climbing as fast as the revs, after I hit 180km/h I realised my mistake :)

Thankyou gents the support is much needed! My motivation isn't the best!!

Just an update for the past few days

I've chopped out the old fuel filler, and made up a plate for the new one to sit on

It's going to sit proud of the bodywork, riveted on, because racecar.

Moving on, I've struggled with various OEM throttle cables. Either being too long, too short or not having the right bulkhead fitting on them. So I bought a universal one. Works a treat :)

It basically has two fittings to hold the outer sheath steady, so any pedal action is transmitted only via the inner cable. It comes with various fittings, one of which is perfect for the K20a throttle body. I soldered the OEM pedal nipple on. I was amazed at how strong this is, it took my body strength and didn't pull through!

I've also fitted a new clutch slave cylinder, and made up a -3AN braided line to suit

This runs to a bulkhead connector at present, I'll make the interior line to the master cylinder once I've got the pedal fabricated (something I started ages ago).

Finally I've abandoned the EP3 shifter idea and gone with the K-tuned billet shifter, that should be here in a week.

I'll run that with some new cables, through the bulkhead and hopefully have my gear system finished in a week or so.

Next jobs are:
- Clutch pedal
- Get brake system bled
- More body prep

Beautiful. Bet you are really pleased with it.

Can't wait for more updates and photos.
