Out with the old, in with the Cosmic!

Not much of an exciting update, but the civic was a little over due a service (only 1k miles) so I got that done tonight along with a couple other bits.

Current mileage :

Few bits purchased:

Which included powerflex bushes for my new exhaust system, these two for the back box and have a Js racing one coming for the centre pipe as I'm getting a little movement from my exhaust, hoping these cure it.

Also, while we were waiting for the coolant and oil to empty we sanded down the surface rust off the sills and covered them with under seal just until I get the time to do a proper job of the underneath.

And cleaned up the rear arb:

I chose to go for a shorter hamp oil filter which was recommended to me by a friend:

Next time for your Oil Filter change, grab a 2 litre bottle, cut it in half put the bigger part of the bottle over the Oil Filter and undo and all the oil will drop in the bottle along with the filter

Been meaning to make a start on undersealing the car for ages now.. finally started it tonight.

Same method as when I did my rear arches.

Sand down any rust
Apply Kurust
Coat of etched primer
Coat of Hammerite
And finally coat of underseal.

Got the main big parts done, next time I'll get some of the nooks and crannys and other parts treated. Looking much better!

Finally got round to sorting my rear passenger arch..

As said a few posts ago, after I removed the arch liners I was greeted with moist mud, and once I removed that there was a nice hole in the middle of some nasty rust. Been meaning to get it sorted for a while but my friend who sorts all my welding needs outs been busy.

Finally got it done tonight!

While he did that I did some more rust treating and undersealing.

Nearly done now, a couple more hours one night and the underseal will be finished.

That looks great. I need to remove my rear arch carpets and take a look but not sure if I dare!

Also want to get the underneath of mine sealed. I know u have done it yourself but is this a local place that can do it for you if required?

You are lucky to have that Facility.

I've got so much I want to do to the car and I think it's a keeper so definitely need to get the car under sealed at some point. Might find out somewhere local that can do it for me as I'm a bit of a lazy *******!

Not updated in a while, lost interest for a bit because of other hobbies. Not done too much in the mean time. Couple of services, restored headlights and fitted Skunk2 LCAs

Looking nice and clean.

Love the sound of the exhaust too.

Came out of Asda earlier and saw your car keeping mine company at the far end of the car park

Haha. Sorry about that

To be fair I hadn't washed it in months and it took the coronavirus for me to get motivated enough to do it!

Although I have now done the interior and engine bay as well.

Nice! I need to sort my interior, but with a 4 year old it gets messy again after one drive

Today I finally got round to sorting a fuel leak ive had for some time, was the rubber pipe between the filler neck pipe and fuel tank. With no jack it was fiddly but just finished..
