What did you do to your Type R today?

So the main reason for off loading the FK8 was the poor quality of the seat fabric and Honda's refusal to take ownership of this. I did have it booked in to have both front seats done in Italian leather but when I noticed the usual Brembo lacquer peal enough was enough the love was lost and I...

Return of the Footwell Lighting Kits!

New link which will contain information for your car, please note I now sell a FD2 kit and I also suspect a FN2 oem plug n play kit will fit a FD2 but this is not confirmed. As always message Loxy here as he can supply this worldwide at a cheaper price than ebay...

What did you do to your Type R today?

Brand new Civic sport + same as the wife's car and cash my way, deal was a no brainer when you factor in the cheaper running / maintenance plus the fact the poor quality seat fabric in the R that I had booked in to be redone in real leather and the simple fact all I use the car for is to drive...

    FK8 Oil usage

Had a FK2 for 6 months / 6k and at most put around 0.25l of oil in it, had the FK8 13k 15 months now and not even put 0.5l in it. However as you can see this car is a daily so rarely see high revs etc

    FK8 Honda closing Swindon plant

Or more importantly a better trade deal with the US than Japan does as most of the Civic's from Swindon go to the US market. My gut does say that for it to save the plant the deal will need to be in place within a year as for sure once production stops and staff are laid off it would cost...

FK8 Anyone running 255/30R20 or 255/35R20 tyres on the standard rims?

To be honest I know in the summer they will not be as sticky as a CSC6 but as I will not be driving the car on a track I doubt I will miss the difference as there is only so much you can use on a pubic road. I guess if they do break a little you may have to feed the throttle a little in the...

FK8 Anyone running 255/30R20 or 255/35R20 tyres on the standard rims?

I have fitted 4 x Uniroyal Rainsports 255/30/20 tyres for £500 fitted and balanced by the main dealer in December and not one mark on the alloys (tyres from camskill delivered to the dealer and the dealer fitted). done around 2000miles now no regrets and had the service yesterday which confirmed...

FK2 Need a bit of advice on what to do at the end of my PCP

Mate of mine drives for a prestige motor dealership where they sell anything from a Lambo to a Rolls, he had driven many cars from a V6 to a V12 and says the best car he has ever driven was a 12c a few years ago. Mind you I doubt I am dumb enough to cough up that kind of money without winning...

FK2 Need a bit of advice on what to do at the end of my PCP

She's a woman lol, I bet she thought it was only around £5-10k more than the R and was thinking it's only money. I keep looking though https://www.ccspecialistcars.co.uk/used-mclaren-12c-spider-dukinfield-cheshire-1616113 http://www.thboler.com/used-cars/9443676-mc-laren-540-c-v8-ssg/

FK2 Need a bit of advice on what to do at the end of my PCP

This made me smile, I have been looking at McLarens and thinking what I have ploughed into the FK8 over the last 12 months I could afford a McLaren and then have no flash money for the next 5 years. Reality then kicks in and tells me £100k on a car is madness way out of budget even though I've...

    New tyres

Ouch £1011 is a lot for 4 tyres especially when I fitted my 4 tyres for £500 fitted and balanced by the main dealer and not one mark on the alloys. done around 1000miles now no regrets but to be fair I could not even tell you the main differences now as I am now used to what is fitted. However I...

FK8 New FK8 owners Q&A - everything you want to know and dare to ask here

No it did not change, you can double fuse but at the end of the day you can not draw any more load than the rated fuse for the circuit already installed so is this required? IMO it is not as the wiring is rated a lot higher than the circuit protection device (fuse)
