I always thought the top speed would be around 167mph based on the fact most kpro's would be set to a limit of 8600rpm because thats the safe limit for standard valve springs etc.

The ep3 cant be topping out at 146 if its doing a gps speed of 80mph at 4000rpm. Thats why the guys with chargers can do 160mph, the stock 197bhp is not enough power to get it to redline in 6th.

Just wondering if I charged my ep3 what would be the maximum speed on a stock gearbox? Just going on the fact my car does 40mph (gps speed) at 2k, 80mph at 4k, so would the top speed at 8k be 160mph providing it had enough power?

It sounded quite raspy with the Supersprint b-pipe & oem backbox but now its a lot deeper with the N1 rep, i'll try to get a video tomorrow.

Spent a good few hours washing, claying then 2 coats of AG srp at the weekend Spoon N1 replica mated upto Supersprint unsilenced b-pipe, sounds epic!

Got a nice supprise this morning :) Less than 48 hours after placing the order my Spoon N1 replica has been delivered and I must say from inspecting it the quality is pretty good and the welds nice too. Should be able to get it fitted on Tuesday :lol:

Does that mean Supersprint unsilenced b-pipe and Spoon N1 would be even louder?

Small update My drivers side front caliper siezed the other day but lucky the disc didnt warp. Had a new caliper delivered today but didnt get a chance to paint it red like the others, will get round to it soon I hope. Took the car round to Automek and got Andrew Baird to fit the new caliper...

Engine mounts inserts fitted :) Instantly I can feel a difference to the stiffness and especially noticeable when coming off the throttle then straight back on your aware that the engine isnt rocking as much. The extra vibrations when stationary I can live with and its made the exhaust...

I thought the EP3 weighed in at 1204kg not 1270?

Unsilenced SS b-pipe went on last week, engine mount inserts getting done tomorrow and ive got a jdm rear anti roll bar on order.

Just had my Supersprint b-pipe (unsilenced) fitted today and im very happy with it. Its a lovely bit of kit, no real increase in noise at low revs and has a really nice metalic tone on full throttle as the revs increase :)

Mines not really a rattle, more a hummimg vibration so im pretty sure it has to be one of the heat sheilds.

Ive noticed a slight vibration when coming off the accelerator at about 3500-4000 rpm, seems to be coming from underneath the car so will get that looked at this weekend :)

It will be interesting to see what bhp this beast puts out after the dyno session, I take it you will have to get it mapped to run on 90Ron/octane fuel?

The beemer was really quick mid range as it was remapped to 200bhp and 400nm but I got bored of the diesel sound, my mate at work has a remapped 335d that has 350bhp & 700nm but theres no denying its still a diesel.

No problem mate, to be honest if I had done the upgrades I would have just done the facelift front lights and left the bumper & rear lights standard.

The nhb prem was my first ep3, I stupidly sold it and bought an e90 320d then realised the mistake I made and came back to Honda ;)

Facelift bumper & lights were done by the previous owner.

I think i'll stick with the 215's from now on as it makes the car look a little bit lower so no need to get lowering springs anytime soon. Priority will be getting engine mount inserts done, jdm rear arb and ss b-pipe fitted in the near future.

As said above it will only give you a few ponies but im getting the ss b-pipe to help the engine brethe a bit better, also done the hondata mod to the airbox. Obviously you would make more of these mods if mapped with kpro/k100 but im going to have to save up for that.

The FN2 is really starting to grow me now, this looks stunning and the list of choice mods is very impressive!

I dont think so, springs & shocks look oem to me. It might be the fact the tyres are 215/45/17 Potenza's.

This is my 2nd ep3, only bought the car a few weeks ago. Its a 2003 30th Anniversary which is pretty much standard apart from a facelift front bumper, lights, black oem wheels and grooved front discs. Its also had the tailgate debadged ( Civic & Type R badges) Update 29/03/12 Mods so far...
