Ok so i've installed my after market head unit & it works fine however everytime i turn the car off/on the settings i change go back to factory on the headunit, any ideas? Like i said everything works fine but the headunit kind of looses its memory?

I noticed when the car is cold and i turn the key to start the car i hear a loud crunching nose on the right side(drivers) of the car(atleast i think its on the right side). I only hear it when i start the car first thing in the morning though or if the cars cold, once its warm its totally fine...
